Do I need prior aerial experience to take classes?

No prior experience is required for beginner classes. Our aerial program is structured to meet you where you are. All apparatus access for open studio requires demonstrated qualification — you work up to independent practice through the class structure.

What is Performer-Led Safety?

Performer-Led Safety is our standard for how a training community should work. Safety requirements are set by people who actually perform — not by venues or organizers who have never been in the air. In our studio, open apparatus access requires qualification, not just a signed waiver. This protects everyone and builds a community where safety is expected and respected.

Do you specialize in EDS and hypermobility?

Yes. Physio Flows was founded in part because of the significant gap in care for people with hypermobility syndromes like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Coryn has lived experience with hypermobility and brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to every client with EDS or hypermobility. Standard protocols often miss the point for hypermobile bodies — we don't use generic plans.

I have insurance and I'm working with a hospital therapist. Does it still make sense to come to you?

Absolutely. Insurance-based PT is often limited in scope, visit count, and focus — your goals have to fit within what your insurance will pay for. At Physio Flows, there are no visit caps, no prior authorizations, and no insurance company telling you when you're 'done.' If your current care isn't fully addressing your hypermobility or complex needs, we can provide supplementary or primary care on your terms.

Are there any hidden fees?

There aren't any. Our prices are very simple: time-based services. What you see on the page, for the amount of time you request, is what you pay. You won't get charged for anything else.

Do you take insurance?

Accepted Answer

We do not take insurance. Physio Flows was started to provide what the insurance companies could not. Insurance companies decide how many visits they want to pay for, only try to get you back to 80%, and encourage getting you to stop doing the things you love. We don't want to do that. Our fee-based model gives us room to make treatment decisions with you instead of letting an insurance company define what you are allowed to work on.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate gives you an estimate of expected charges for medical services when you are uninsured or not using insurance. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost. If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the bill.

What should I expect during a Physio Flows therapy session?

Each session is one-on-one with your therapist — no aides, no shared time, no waiting. We spend the full appointment on you, your goals, and your body. Sessions are structured around your treatment plan, which is built collaboratively with you based on your actual needs, not a generic protocol.

How long should my appointment be?

Session lengths range from 25 to 85 minutes for PT. The right length depends on your goals, what we're working on, and where you are in your treatment. Coryn can help you determine the best session length during your first appointment. For massage, sessions range from 30 to 90 minutes.

Do you offer telehealth?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Telehealth options are available for Physical Therapy and Nutrition Consulting sessions. Telehealth can be a great option for follow-up sessions, home exercise program reviews, or when in-person visits aren't possible.
